This quarter has been a busy and exciting one for Team Simoco’s R&D team as we introduced our range of next-generation Xfin products at our September launch.

With Xfin fast becoming the buzzword for trunked radio, the launch gave us the perfect opportunity to let our partners experience the full range of Team Simoco’s next-generation Xfin products and to observe our innovations first-hand, demonstrating to them just why Xfin has been established as the highest standard in professional radio.

The launch of the Xfin Blade Multisite, the Xfin Dispatcher and the Xfin Portable was attended by over 50 of our partners and held during two sessions, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, at our headquarters in Derby.

The launch of our next-generation Xfin products proved to be a huge success and our partners showed great interest in our new innovative range, they were impressed with the IP functionality of the Multisite and the multiple applications possible with the Dispatcher and Portable. As a result a number of orders were taken on the day.

 

The core of the Xfin system is the Xfin Blade Multisite unit. Each single channel blade unit is a replicable system component which when connected together enables the construction of single or multi site Xfin systems, dependent upon the software option selected. Xfin IP Soft Switch connectivity between Xfin Blades enables up to 32 channel units at a single site and up to 300 networked sites.

The flexibility and functionality of the Xfin Blade System extends to the Xfin IP Soft Dispatcher. A key advantage of its IP connectivity and distributed database technology is that dispatchers can be located anywhere there is a network connection, supporting cost-effective remote working and disaster recovery solutions as well as effective rapid call handling

Ergonomic, rugged yet lightweight, the Xfin Portable Radio addresses the broadest base of operational needs from emergency services to commercial users and have been specifically designed to meet radio communication requirements in the most demanding of environments.

The new Xfin products have already proven to be very popular and pre-launch sales of the Xfin Blade Multisites have been particularly successful, with over 550 units already sold since the start of the year.

The launch also presented a number of good opportunities from partners to sell integrated solutions including applications and Internet connectivity, we will be taking this forward in the coming month to discuss developing IP sales training sessions with dealers to really drive home the advantages of Xfin IP functionality, and ensure continued growth and sales success for us and our partners.
