Thinking Big,Thinking Outside the Box

 

 


2007 has been a vintage year for Team Simoco, with our products and services finding favour not only in our established markets such as the UK, Europe and the Middle East, but also in exciting new territories such as Asia and Latin America.

Our TETRA G partnership with ETELM continues to broaden and deepen. Whilst UK frequency restrictions continue to suppress demand, our expansion in international markets is driving increasing TETRA sales activity. China continues to lead the way with first sales received from our both main dealers, RCOMM and Kirisun.

Xfin is rapidly becoming the byword for TRUNKED radio. In the UK market, Team Simoco this year successfully secured a deal with energy giant Western Power for the UK’s largest radio system contract - one of the largest utility contracts in the world, which will provide coverage over some 26,000 square km.

Securing a contract of this magnitude has firmly established Xfin as the gold standard in professional radio. Add this to recent deals inked in key territories including Latin America, China, and major international projects such as the deployment of an Xfin radio system for the Kazakhstan-China Pipeline, and it’s clear that we have a winning technology in the shape of the Xfin.

Thinking Big
With a revolutionised product portfolio and a clear commitment to further enhancing customer service as a core element of our dealer package, we have the potential to move into 2008 with all guns blazing.

We’ve put our energies into fine-tuning our partner program, in order to deliver a winning combination of product and services for our global network of dealers, distributors and systems integrators. We’re committed to helping our partner network to increase market share and ultimately turnover.

And whilst we will continue to support and develop new and innovative applications for the Xfin and analogue market, it’s essential that we look to new industry sectors and markets in order to continue to grow. With our Digital TETRA, P25 and terminal devices, we clearly have huge potential for more sales, and increased market share…and this is precisely what we are gunning for.

 

Thinking outside the Box
So how are we, in conjunction with our partner network, going to achieve this growth?

It’s a question of looking outside our traditional markets. As a manufacturer, we need to look at all possible applications for our products and services, both in the UK and global markets – exciting and relatively untapped markets such as oil & gas, marine and aviation, which clearly yield an enormous potential for sales.

By offering the market a complete end-to-end solution, combining a reliable infrastructure with advanced device technology, this will deliver a more compelling proposition, ideal for sectors such as the emergency services and security sectors.

By forging an ever-closer working relationship with our partners and customers, we’ll succeed in developing solutions and applications customised and adapted for market need, and which ensure rapid application integration such as AVLS, real time information and job dispatching.

 

 

Switching on to IP
IP is an area where we have an exciting opportunity to really steal a march on our competitors. We are ideally positioned to develop market-leading data and application services from our advanced IP based TETRA G and Xfin solutions. By working closely with our partners, we can take infrastructure, connectivity and application services and build value-add packages for their customers. Only by looking at a more end-to-end approach such as this will we - and our partners – succeed in developing existing business and exploiting new market opportunities for sustained growth and profitability.

A Worldwide force in Radio Comms

The UK and European markets continue to be an important focus for us, and over the next year we are committed to extending into new market sectors, and to finding new applications for our product portfolio.

There is clearly great potential to dramatically increase our market share within the European TETRA market, especially given the advanced functionality of our infrastructure and product offering, and this remains an exciting challenge for us.

In other territories – particularly Asia and Latin America – we have the opportunity to grow with the market, and firmly establish ourselves within this fast-growing market sector. With our advanced technology and close partnership with Etelm, Team Simoco is well-placed to become the de facto technology provider for TETRA deployments.

There’s clearly a huge demand for advanced radio comms solutions in the growth markets of Asia and Latin America, and with permanent sales offices in China, South America and Africa, we are well-placed to further build and extend out international presence.

Indeed, following the opening of our Beijing offices earlier this year and our strong growth in the Asian market, we are also bringing on representatives for the South East Asia region, in order to better serve our growing global customer base and further consolidate our Asian market presence.

A formula for success
It’s an exciting time for Team Simoco, with the potential for rapid growth worldwide, and it’s a goal we intend to achieve with the help of our most vital assets – our partners.

By providing you with advanced technology and a product portfolio designed to meet market needs, and by delivering to you the support and marketing collateral you need to drive sales and increase your customer base, we believe we have the winning combination for growth.
